We’re pleased to announce that we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the World Federation of Engineering Organisations (WFEO) to work together on continuing to drive change in engineering.
This follows from our activities to push for transformation of engineering competencies so that engineers deliver greater beneficial impact for people and the planet.
Through our new partnership with WFEO we’re supporting the delivery of the first World Engineering Day Hackathon on 4 March 2022.
The theme of World Engineering Day 2022 – Build Back Wiser: Engineering the Future – is well aligned with the goals of the Engineers Without Borders movement.
The Hackathon is a global competition that aims to engage engineering students from universities around the world in engineering challenges aligned with the theme, and encourage engineering students to focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We’ve supported the development of the challenge brief, judging criteria and competition materials and provided judges from across our network.
Now students from all over the world can register for the opportunity to take part. The registration deadline is 10 January 2022, so sign up quickly!
