The election for the new board directors of EWB International has completed. We are pleased to announce that our three new board members are Angeline Tan of Engineers Without Borders Singapore, Chikondi Gurira of Engineers Without Borders South Africa, and Emmanuelle Sallin of Engineers Without Borders Switzerland.

Congratulations to Angeline, Chikondi, Emmanuelle and to all the candidates who put themselves forward. The pool of candidates was incredibly strong this year, and it was a close election right up to the deadline, so we’d also like to thank all those that took the time to vote – your votes really mattered!

In addition, we are pleased to announce that our new president-elect is Kapil Dev Regmi of Engineers Without Borders Nepal. This is a position voted on by the current board of directors, and this year it was a close call between three exceptional candidates. Kapil will shadow Sanjiv Indran (our current president) over the next year, and take up the position of president from 1 January 2025.

As new directors join the board, we say goodbye to the following fantastic individuals who are stepping down. We would like to thank Robinson Ejilah of Engineers Without Borders Nigeria and Clare Haas Claveau of Engineers Without Borders USA who have come to the end of their terms on the board. In addition, we would like to acknowledge the contribution of Muaamar Mahyoub of Engineers Without Borders Yemen who due to the ongoing conflict in his country, can no longer contribute to the board.

We appreciate the efforts of our past board members who got us to where we are and look forward to onboarding our new board members to take us through 2025 and beyond.
